Manna Mulina

circular footpath

  • Starting point: Bassa Torra
  • Time: 5 hours

Starting from Bassa Torra, at the sign at the entrance to the site follow the direction for Conca on the left, take the coastal footpath, go through the wall in Canuseddu, cross the little beach and continue to Cala d’Aguglia (or Acudda).
Do not leave the footpath at the beach, stay on the footpath that rises on the left of the stream that you will cross later. At the junction, keep to the left for Manna Mulina. The footpath goes up the inner valley of Vangone d’Auccia to reach a fountain and a charcoal kiln.
It goes back up through the scrub until a wall that you go along without crossing. The Manna Mulina plateau appears and once you have passed the wall you will have a superb view of the coast with Senetosa tower in the distance.
Continue on the path towards the north, to arrive, after leaving the footpath, at a viewpoint from which you can see Campomoro tower. The footpath goes back down through dense scrub to the plain of Canuseddu. Cross the stream and follow the Canuseddu circular footpath to return.
Follow the partially shaded winding footpath that goes up the valley. Go past the ancient terraces on the ridge to discover a unique view of Campomoro harbour.
Further on, the footpath passes through a stone wall and reaches the I Pozzi threshing floor, where the tower is within sight. Go around the threshing floor and take the return path for Campomoro following the gradient.
Return to Bassa Torra, when leaving the clearing, pass in front of the site sign to follow the footpath.
