Article 1: General provisions
The legal language of the present general conditions of sale and use of the internet site is French.
The remote purchase of accommodation and services must be performed by online reservation and payment by logging in to the ‘campumoru-senetosa.corsica’ internet address. Accommodation is offered within the limits of availability.
The purchase of accommodation is limited to two consecutive nights regardless of the sleeping arrangement.
Customers must identify themselves by filling in the online form that enables the allocation of accommodation and services. Customers must accept these conditions in order to finalise their orders.
In accordance with the requirements of article 1369-5 of the Civil Code, the customer has the possibility to check the details of their order and its total price, and to correct any errors before final confirmation. A confirmation email and a bank receipt will be sent via the internet site. Customers will be able to check the status of their booking at any time by logging in to their account on the internet site. The confirmation email for the reservation must be presented to the refuge keeper.
Any order constitutes acceptance of the description of the services, regulations and rates shown on the internet site.
The provisions of Articles 1952 et seq. of the Civil Code concerning hoteliers are not applicable to the Senetosa refuge. Syndicat Elisa cannot be held liable in the event of theft or deterioration of personal belongings.
Article 2: Description
The Refuge of Senetosa is located in the municipality of Sartène and is the property of the Conservatoire du Littoral. It is managed by Syndicat Elisa under the convention for the delegation of management of 3 December 2018. It is accessed by the sea or by the coastal footpath from the villages of Campomoro and Tizzano.
It is a lighthouse that retains its vocation for maritime safety. It has been restored and refurbished to accommodate 24 persons indoors and 40 persons in the bivouac area within the lighthouse enclosure.
The refuge is equipped with a kitchen area, a dining room, collective and individual bathrooms and pit toilets. The distribution of water in the showers and washbasin depends exclusively on the available stocks.
On the site, only the supply of beverages is possible. It is essential for customers to provide their own food.
The refuge is open every day from mid-April to mid-October (information concerning the precise opening and closing dates are available on the refuge’s website or Facebook page). During this period, one or more keepers are present on the site. Outside of this period,
reservations are possible 7 business days before the chosen date of stay and only for groups consisting of a minimum of 10 persons. From the time that a date is open (the reservation is registered), the other beds available are put up for individual sale to any other group or person.
Article 3: Internal rules
– Wilderness camping and bivouacs are prohibited on the coastal footpath.
– Motor vehicles are prohibited on the footpaths
– The tranquillity of the area and of other users must be respected.
– Accommodation must be vacated before 9:30 a.m. and arrivals are from 5:00 p.m.
– The use of fire is strictly prohibited.
– All occupants must carry out their waste.
– Rooms, dormitories and tents must be vacated and any equipment removed by 9:30 a.m.
– Minors must remain under the supervision of parents or accompanying persons
– Beds must not be moved
– Users are requested to read the charter and to respect it
– Pets are not accepted.
Article 4: Terms of payment
The prices indicated on the internet site are net prices in euros (€) including tax
The amount for accommodation and the chosen services is payable when ordering and payments are made by bank card (Visa, Eurocard, Mastercard) and are secure. The orders will be confirmed once the banking organisation has validated the payment by card. Any refusal of the authorisation to debit the bank account cancels the ordering process.
All taxes, fees and amounts that may be required of a customer who places an order from a country other than France will strictly remain their financial and administrative responsibility.
Foreign cheques are not accepted.
Article 5: Rates
Rates for accommodation and services are available on the online reservation site and are displayed at the refuge.
Private rental is not possible, regardless of the number of persons present. Accommodation that is not occupied by 8:30 p.m. or any late arrival that the keepers have not been informed of will automatically cause the accommodation to be made available for sale.
Accommodation for children under 3 accompanied by their parents is free.
Article 6: Right of withdrawal and refund
The customer has a withdrawal period of fifteen clear days during which they do not have to justify the reasons for cancelling their purchase and will be reimbursed. Cancellation may concern all or part of a booking. The fifteen-day period begins the day after the customer’s transaction.
When the fifteen-day period expires on a Saturday, Sunday or public holiday, it is extended until the next business day.
After the withdrawal period, the accommodation and services purchased will be refunded in the event of the hospitalisation or death of a close relative up to seven clear days before the date of the stay. Refund is no longer possible after this period.
In case of an orange or red weather alert concerning the department of Corse du Sud, cancellation is possible until 8:30 p.m. on the day of the stay.
When the right of withdrawal is exercised, Syndicat Elisa is required to refund all the sums paid by the customer within a period of thirty days following the date on which this right is exercised.
Requests for cancellation and refund must be addressed to Syndicat Elisa according to the following terms:
– Within the 15-day withdrawal period, by emailing the following address: firstname.lastname@example.org;
– By post or email accompanied by supporting documents in the case of the hospitalisation or death of a close relative or due to a weather alert.
To validate a request of cancellation or refund, the following information must be specified:
– Name and surname of the holder of the bank card;
– Customer’s name;
– Date of the transaction;
– Booking number;
– Number of beds and dates of services;
– Number of services.
Refund will be made by bank transfer or administrative mandate.
Also, the parties agree that in the case that access to the refuge is made impossible due to a prefectural decree, the customer may, after informing the refuge by telephone, be released from their obligations and the contract will be terminated by full right. The customer will be reimbursed for the totality of the price of the accommodation and services.
Article 7: Cancellation by Syndicat Elisa
Syndicat Elisa informs its customers that the refuge is located in a sensitive, protected and isolated area.
The purchasers of accommodation undertake to access the refuge by their own means.
The purchasers of accommodation shall bear any costs that may result from a case of force majeure, an unavoidable event, or an inability to access the refuge: therefore, the purchasers of accommodation alone shall bear any additional costs of, among others, accommodation, transport and catering that may be incurred by them as a result of a force majeure, an unavoidable event or any other reason that renders accommodation impossible.
The contract is not extended for a period corresponding to the period during which client is not able to reach the refuge.
The parties agree that Syndicat Elisa also has the right to proceed with the termination of the stay, in this case the customer will be reimbursed for the totality of the purchase price for accommodation and the services not provided.
Article 8: Modification
No reservation can be modified, except for cancellation. cf. Article 6
Article 9: Control of booking vouchers
An email confirming the order will be sent to the customer by Syndicat Elisa. It must be presented to the keeper of the refuge in order to be certified. The ‘certified’ document should be kept throughout the stay and presented on request.
Article 10: Customer service
Our customer service is available for any information or question. In order to answer you in the most effective manner possible, the following information will be useful to find your order:
