Starting point: Bassa Torra, at the sign at the entrance to the site follow the direction for the tower, then at the junction continue left up to the tower, accompanied by ‘Antò,’ the imaginary keeper of the tower. -
1h Bassa Torra – tower – Cala Genovese, return via Punta Bianca
Starting point: Bassa Torra, at the sign at the entrance to the site follow the direction for the tower, and then at the junction continue the climb to the left, from the tower, continue towards ‘Cala Genovese’ by a steep footpath. In Cala Genovese, near the coast, follow the path to the right for Punta Bianca and cross the Taffoni (rocky cavities sculpted by centuries of erosion) and the coastal scrubland. Return to Bassa Torra -
45 min Bassa Torra – tower – Cala Genovese, return via I Migini
Starting point: Bassa Torra, at the sign at the entrance to the site follow the direction for the tower, and then at the junction continue the climb to the left, from the tower, continue towards ‘Cala Genovese’ by a steep footpath. In Cala Genovese, near the coast, follow the path to the left towards I Migini and a rocky outcrop with phantasmagorical shapes. The path then goes through coastal meadows. Return to Bassa Torra, head towards Campomoro leaving the last clearing by the left.
Practical information
Arriving by the D 121, you can park at Campomoro harbour. Access beyond this point is for residents only. Once you have parked, walk through the Calanova estate to reach ‘Bassa Torra’, the beginning of the footpath. Allow 20 minute to reach Bassa Torra on foot from the centre of the village and 20 minutes more if you wish to visit the tower.
Entrance fee to the tower enclosure: €2.50
Arrive early in the morning to find available parking in the village
